hezekiah's tunnel

Hezekiah’s Tunnel was used as an aqueduct built beneath the City of David under the reign of Hezekiah when the Assyrians came to attack.

And I got to go through it.

So we all geared up with our stylish headlamps
and started the journey.

It’s pretty claustrophobic in there with low ceilings, water up to your knees, and the width of the walls
being about one person.

Even though we all had our headlamps, we turned them off most of the way because, of course, that was more fun for a group of young adults.

Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done in my entire life.
